The rules-based notifications module automates process alerts and enables quick and effective response to incidents threatening the continuity and productivity of the user’s print environment. The module then acts as a virtual assistant, monitoring and alerting production interruptions, and providing instantaneous e-mail alerts when the specified threshold parameters are breached. The automatic notifications empower CONNECT users with the receipt of critical business information and the capacity for timely assessment and remediation, enabling avoidance of costly downtime, lost productivity, and lost revenue. For example, a production manager can be automatically and instantly alerted when a connected press’ productivity falls below a set percentage or when it has been inactive for a pre-determined length of time. Notifications even work if it is in another geographical location – and allow the user to take immediate corrective action.
The flexibility of this feature makes it a valuable tool for personnel in various roles within the organization – from upper level management to floor production crews. It grants the personnel the ability to respond quickly to critical operational needs.
